Messer Pond REGATTA 2007

September 2nd

Messing About in Movie-ng Boats

The weather for the Labor Day Weekend Regatta was near perfect this year.  Many thanks to the Greenawalt families for all their planning and organizing efforts.  This year's Regatta theme was "The Movies" and the turnout of actors and movie-goers was a sell-out.  The variety of movie themes recreated in the form of vessels and characters showboated the wonderful creativity of our residents.  The awards ceremony was highlighted by a red carpet and a presentation of the Oscars (thank you, Greenawalts!)  Everyone who participated in the Regatta received an Academy Award.  Thanks also to all those who brought party food.  We even had a beautiful Messer Pond Regatta Cake (thank you, Betty Brown!)

Start thinking about next year's theme: Children's Books
